WittyKeys — Terms of Service
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using WittyKeys ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
2. Service Description
WittyKeys is an AI-powered Android keyboard application that provides:
- Smart reply suggestions based on incoming messaging notifications
- Screen capture analysis for contextual reply generation
- Built-in AI chat assistant for drafting messages, brainstorming, and translation
- Support for multiple languages including Hindi, Hinglish, English, Tamil, Marathi, and Arabic
3. User Responsibilities
By using WittyKeys, you agree that you will not:
- Use the App for any illegal, harmful, or fraudulent purposes
- Use AI-generated replies to create or distribute spam, harassment, or abusive content
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Use the App to generate content that violates any applicable laws or third-party rights
- Misrepresent AI-generated content as human-written in contexts where such distinction is legally required
4. AI-Generated Content
WittyKeys uses artificial intelligence to generate reply suggestions and chat responses. Please be aware that:
- AI-generated replies are suggestions only — you are solely responsible for reviewing and choosing to send any message
- AI can make mistakes, produce inaccurate information, or generate inappropriate content
- Always review AI suggestions before sending, especially in sensitive or professional conversations
- The developer is not responsible for any consequences resulting from messages you choose to send
5. Third-Party Services
WittyKeys relies on the following third-party services, whose terms and policies also apply:
- Firebase (by Google) — Used for authentication and cloud functions. Subject to Google's Terms of Service.
- Claude AI (by Anthropic) — Powers smart reply generation, screen analysis, and AI chat. Subject to Anthropic's Terms of Service.
Availability and functionality of the App may be affected by these third-party services, which are outside our direct control.
6. Intellectual Property
- WittyKeys and its original components are the intellectual property of the developer.
- WittyKeys is built on AOSP LatinIME, which is licensed under the Apache License 2.0.
- You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal purposes.
7. Privacy
Your use of WittyKeys is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your data. By using the App, you consent to our data practices as described in the Privacy Policy.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
WittyKeys is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:
- Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
- Accuracy, reliability, or completeness of AI-generated suggestions
- Uninterrupted or error-free operation of the App
- Compatibility with all devices or Android versions
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from:
- Your use of or inability to use the App
- Any AI-generated content or suggestions
- Service interruptions, errors, or data loss
- Actions taken based on AI-generated replies
- Unauthorized access to your data due to factors beyond our control
10. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time if you violate these Terms or engage in activity that harms other users or the service.
You may stop using WittyKeys at any time by uninstalling the App. Upon uninstallation, all locally stored data is deleted.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you through the App. Your continued use of WittyKeys after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India.
